![]() The Brief HistoryPat McMichael (drums) and John "Dante" Ianni (keyboards) met at an audition for a Beach Boys tribute band in Dayton, Ohio. The tribute band was not a love connection for either of them but Pat called John the following day to see if he wanted to start a band. Although John was playing regular solo gigs, he hit it off with Pat and was impressed by his musicianship. After a few months of auditioning other musicians, Pat tracked down the number for two members of the successful band TZ5 - Mike Osborne (bass) and Jamie Graham (vocals). Luckily for John and Pat, TZ5 had recently disbanded so the two were looking for the right new band. It turned out their talent and personalities were a match. Several players auditioned for the guitar role before Dante - on one of his solo gigs - met John Varrasso who said he could play lead guitar. Dante told Pat that John may be worth a try and it turned out to be true - Johnny V was the right man for the role. Once 24seven put together their core song list,
they played their first gig in August 2002 at Hot Roxx at the Dayton Mall Ramada Inn (which no longer exists). 24seven has now played to many enthusiastic audiences at venues like The Argosy Casino, major festivals, corporate parties, and Dayton night clubs. |

They were also sponsored by Budweiser for 3 years who flew them to Austin, Texas where they played on TV with Willie Nelson, Edgar Winter and Leon Russell.
